The Nauticam NA-a2020 underwater housing is designed for the Sony Alpha 9 Mark 2 and Sony Alpha 7R Mark 4 camera with HDMI 2.0 support to deliver a true photography experience under the water.
Built using the aircraft’s aluminum, the underwater housing features integrated handles, a vacuum leak detection system and a port locking system. The housing delivers the best photography experience for underwater photographers by enabling the user to easily access to all key controls of the Sony Alpha 9 II and Sony Alpha 7R Mark 4 camera.
All key camera controls are placed at the photographer's fingertips. Access all of the camera’s main functions without moving hands off the handles. The main adjustments can be made without taking hands off the handles.
Lenses and lens system
The lens port supports many Sony FE mount lenses. And using an adaptor, you can use the Canon EF lenses as well,
Additionally, there is an adaptor to attach the water contact UW-Nikkor series lenses originally used on the Nikonos underwater range finder systems as well.
But let´s face it. Nauticams own port system is the real value to the Sony housing.
Both the WWL and the WACP lenses can be used as well as the EMWL lens ssytem.
The housing comes with the Nauticam vacuum check and leak detection system. Combined with an accessory vacuum valve, the monitoring system provides constant updates on the watertight and safe-to-dive status of the housing. There is a simple color-coded LED lighting system that alerts the user when the vacuum is solid or when the housing is losing vacuum. In the event of water intrusion, the user will receive an audible and visual indication, thanks to leak detection built into the same circuit.
Besides the standard viewfinder, there is a "straight" 180° enlarging viewfinder and a 45° angled enlarging viewfinder to enhance the ease in the close-up photography. Both viewfinders allow bright viewing of the entire image.
Monitors are certainly also an option.
The Nauticam NA-a2020 underwater housing is designed to dive to a depth of 100 meters.
