Description
Flash output
The Apollo C delivers a guide number of GN32 on land with a 120° beam angle. With the diffuser fitted, coverage increases to 140°.
Full-power recycle time is approximately 0.8 seconds, making the strobe quick enough for normal underwater still photography and faster shooting sequences.
Flash modes
The strobe supports manual flash control, pre-flash operation, TTL, Olympus RC, HSS and MTL modes when paired with compatible camera systems and triggers.
In MTL mode it can support continuous flashes at up to 10 fps with a maximum brightness of GN11.
Video light
A built-in 6000 lumen white video light can be used for video, focus assistance and close-range illumination.
Runtime is up to approximately 40 minutes, depending on batteries and output setting.
Triggering
The fiber optic port supports M, Pre Flash, TTL, Olympus RC, RC-MANUAL, RC-TTL, RC-FP, M-HSS and MTL modes.
Built-in optical sensors also support remote triggering with the Marelux Artemis 4500RMT 2.0-S system, allowing compatible setups to work without fiber optic cables.
Batteries
The Apollo C uses 2 x 21700 lithium batteries. Marelux specifies batteries with a continuous discharge current of 15A and a length between 70mm and 76mm.
The strobe is rated for approximately 1000 full-power flashes, depending on battery quality and operating conditions.
