Marelux Apollo III 3.0 Strobe - The New Benchmark in Underwater Strobes
The Marelux Apollo III 3.0 is the flagship model in the Marelux underwater strobe range, designed for demanding underwater photographers who need high output, fast recycling and flexible control.
The strobe delivers a powerful GN44 output with a wide 120° beam angle, providing broad and even illumination across the frame.

Despite its high output, the Apollo III 3.0 offers an impressive full-power recycle time of just 0.6 seconds.
MTL High-Speed Burst Mode
The dedicated MTL mode enables continuous shooting at up to 20 frames per second at GN22, with a recycle time of only 0.05 seconds.
This makes the Apollo III 3.0 particularly suitable for fast-moving subjects and situations where several exposures need to be captured in rapid succession.

PRE-M Mode
PRE-M mode is designed to solve pre-flash compatibility issues commonly encountered with compact cameras and other camera systems using a pre-flash.
It allows the strobe to deliver consistent and predictable output even when the camera uses a pre-flash sequence.

High drain 18650 Batteries
Unlike many high-performance strobes using high drain battery packs, the Apollo III 3.0 is powered by three 18650 rechargeable high drain batteries.

Wireless Triggering
The Apollo III 3.0 also supports encrypted wireless triggering with a range of up to 15 metres.

About Marelux Guide Number Ratings
Marelux entered the underwater strobe market in 2024 and found significant differences between the published Guide Number ratings of several mainstream underwater strobes and the results obtained through its own measurements.
For this reason, Marelux uses a relative Guide Number measurement method.
Reference strobes are first measured using a Sekonic light meter at a fixed distance and compared with their published specifications. The Marelux Apollo strobe is then measured at exactly the same distance and under the same conditions.
The stated GN value for the Apollo III 3.0 is therefore intended to provide a meaningful comparison with established underwater strobes tested under identical conditions.
