Reviving the iconic OM name on its 50th anniversary, OM System introduced the OM-1 (and OM-1 MKII) as a compact, professional-grade Micro Four Thirds hybrid camera designed for photographers and filmmakers on the move. Both the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII feature a 20MP stacked CMOS sensor, delivering faster readout speeds, improved autofocus, and excellent overall performance.

As true hybrid shooters, the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII record up to 10-bit DCI or UHD 4K video at up to 60p, with Full HD capture up to 240 fps. Via HDMI, both the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII can output ProRes RAW to Atomos Ninja V and Ninja V+ recorders.

Key Camera Specifications (OM-1 & OM-1 MKII)

The OM-1 and OM-1 MKII feature a 20MP stacked CMOS sensor, 1053 cross-type autofocus points, and electronic shutter speeds up to 120 fps. In-body image stabilization provides up to 7 EV of correction, or up to 8 EV with compatible lenses. Both cameras include a large 5.76M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, dual UHS-II SD card slots, UHD or DCI 4K/60p video recording, Full HD up to 240 fps, and weather sealing rated to IP53.

Nauticam NA-OM1 Underwater Housing

The Nauticam NA-OM1 underwater housing is fully compatible with both the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII, translating their advanced imaging and stabilization capabilities into a refined underwater system. Building on decades of Micro Four Thirds housing development, Nauticam continues to evolve ergonomic design and control placement to maximize performance below the surface.

More than a simple waterproof enclosure, the NA-OM1 integrates seamlessly with the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII, adapting and enhancing camera functionality for underwater photography and videography.

Mission Control Ergonomics

Nauticam’s Mission Control philosophy ensures every dial and button is positioned exactly where it is needed. The NA-OM1 features a thumb lever for AF-ON that is easily accessed from the ergonomic right handle, with a dedicated red record button close by. This back-button autofocus approach prevents refocusing between shots and provides precise focus control, whether shooting macro or fast-moving wide-angle subjects.

Flash Triggering

Both the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII can be used with the optional Olympus FL-LM3 flash inside the NA-OM1 for accurate TTL flash triggering via integrated fiber-optic bulkheads. For high-speed manual flash triggering, the optional Mini Flash Trigger for Olympus (26306) is supported and powered by onboard coin-style lithium batteries. Electrical triggering of legacy wired strobe systems is available via an optional Nikonos-type bulkhead.

Premium Professional Optics

A camera system is only as strong as the optics placed in front of it. Nauticam’s extensive range of dome and flat ports supports a wide variety of Micro Four Thirds lenses. For even greater image quality and flexibility, the NA-OM1 can be paired with Nauticam Water Contact Optics. When used with the Olympus 14–42mm EZ lens, the Nauticam WWL-1 delivers a full zoom-through ultra-wide 130° field of view.

Magnifying Viewfinders

A clear view is essential for accurate focus and composition underwater. Nauticam magnifying viewfinders provide a large, bright view of the high-resolution electronic viewfinder found in both the OM-1 and OM-1 MKII. Available in straight 180° and angled 45° versions, these viewfinders feature external diopter adjustment for precise eyesight correction. Some full-frame viewfinders require the optional 32215 viewfinder collar adaptor when used with the NA-OM1.

Integrated Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System

The Nauticam NA-OM1 includes an integrated vacuum check and leak detection system as standard equipment. When combined with the optional M14 Vacuum Valve II, the system continuously monitors housing integrity and dive readiness. LED indicators provide clear visual status, while audible and visual alerts warn of water intrusion.

What’s in the Box

The NA-OM1 package includes the housing with two handles and mounting balls, a spare main O-ring with remover and lubricant, two optical fiber port plugs, a CR-2450 battery for the leak detector, a set of Allen keys, an instruction card, and a padded housing bag with shoulder strap.

Optional accessories include the M14 Vacuum Valve II, Nauticam 45° and 180° viewfinders, the Mini Flash Trigger for Olympus, full-frame straight and angled 32° viewfinders, the required viewfinder collar adaptor, optical fiber cables, and strobe mounting balls.

Incompatible Accessories

Certain older zoom gears, adaptors, and HDMI monitor housings are not compatible with the NA-OM1 system. Please consult the full compatibility list before use.
