This light is like no other of Keldans lights:
The Keldan 8XR Ambient do not have a balanced daylight, like the rest of the lights have. The priority of this light has been to gain as many lumens at as low a power consumption as possible - from as small a unit as possible.

The result is:
The Ambient light. As the red light disappers fast during the descent in the water, we often see videographers add a red filter to their camerahousing. And in order to avoind the white/daylight of the LED-light to be red too, a blue filter is added. The back-drop of this is, that the filter reduces the effect of the light. With this light the blue filter is not needed, as the construction of the LED is aimed at a high kelvin. So you can use a red filter on your camera, and have a balanced nautral additional light from your LED-lights.

The small unit with a small consumption also makes it a perfect light for travelling (air travel friendly).

Integrated Ambient Filter
The latest Video 8XR Ambient 18000lm is equipped with a custom designed LED that emits a light spectrum equivalent to the ambient light at a depth of 6 meters. This is achieved without the need for an external filter, resulting in a luminous flux approximately twice as high as that of a Video 8XR 20000lm with an external AF 6B ambient filter.

Remote Control Options
The 8XR Ambient light is also compatible with our wireless Remote Control RC1, offering convenient remote operation.

LED Technology
The Video 8XR Ambient 18000 lm features the latest LED technology with outstanding efficiency. It offers variable power with 9 settings and a brightness range of 1:80.

Soft 110° Beam
The light produces a soft and speckle-free beam of 110° underwater (120° in air).

Easy to use
Its self-contained design simplifies usage, eliminating the need for special mountings for the battery canister. The included bracket with a ball mount allows easy attachment to standard arm systems.

Design
The design is optimized for compact dimensions and light weight, adding only 0.87 kg (0.30 kg in water) to your gear.

Tough
The LED is highly durable and has an almost unlimited lifetime. It incorporates overtemperature protection, ensuring safe use in air by controlling housing temperature and limiting power to maintain a safe temperature range.

Air Travel Safe
The Travel Safe Li-Ion Battery has passed the mandatory UN38.3 safety test, making it certified for air transport. Its capacity is below the maximum allowed capacity of 100Wh. The battery also includes integrated protection against harmful conditions such as over discharge, deep discharge, over current, and short circuit.

Charger Display
A green charge level indicator displays the available relative charge, and a two-digit display shows the remaining time. When discharging, the display indicates the remaining runtime in minutes (e.g., "18" = 18 minutes). When connected to the charger, it displays the remaining charge time in units of 10 minutes (e.g., "18" = 180 minutes).
