The UCS-Q1i is a compact yet exceptionally powerful underwater strobe that sets a new benchmark in lighting performance. As the newest strobe from AOI, it delivers everything photographers need — including InTeLi™ Mode, TTL, RC, Manual, and HSS capabilities — all in an easy-to-handle design with an impressive GN22.

The award-winning UCS-Q1 earned its reputation among beginners by offering advanced features typically found in higher-end models. Its successor, the UCS-Q1RC, introduced TTL integration for OM System cameras, elevating both performance and user experience.

AOI InTeLi™ Mode
AOI strengthened its position in underwater imaging with the UIS-P1, the first strobe to introduce AOI InTeLi™ Mode — an intelligent, next-generation exposure system designed specifically for underwater photography.

The UCS-Q1i blends the best of the UCS-Q1 and the UIS-P1. With AOI InTeLi™ Mode onboard, it delivers precise and consistent TTL exposure across a wide range of camera systems, outperforming traditional S-TTL and TTL approaches. This smart system automatically adapts to camera settings, ensuring highly accurate exposure control in any environment.

Enhanced Macro Performance
Within AOI InTeLi™ Mode, i-Macro Mode optimizes the strobe’s output for macro shooting, allowing photographers to capture fine textures and intricate details with exceptional clarity. Supported modes include Sony TTL and i-Macro, OM System RC TTL and i-Macro, as well as TTL HSS and M-HSS.

Exceptional Output and Speed
Remaining the brightest strobe in its class, the UCS-Q1i features a Guide Number of 22 (GN22) at ISO100, offering powerful illumination for any underwater scenario. It also supports High Speed Shutter (HSS) with Sony cameras, making it ideal for freezing fast-moving subjects with precision and sharpness.
